Taking Care of Our Hair: CAROL'S DAUGHTER 2011 CAMPAIGN

Carol's Daughter is an African-American line of beauty and hair products and founder Lisa Price has selected famous faces Cassie Ventura, Solange Knowles and Selita Ebanks to front the latest hair product campaign for the brand. A fair selection it seems as each three women have different textures and styles of hair which you can see in the video below. Lisa discusses with these beautiful women what 'good hair' means to them and why they have accepted to front the campaign. Check the video:

Do you think these women are worthy faces for the brand? Some people have been complaining that Lisa Price has failed to represent the varied range of black hair/skin types by choosing all three models of light skin. However, as I said before, they certainly vary in hair texture so does this matter? There's no doubt these women are stunning in their individual ways and so will certainly bring this campaign more attention.

Natural Ringlets
   Wavy Length                                              Luxuriously Thick

What is your opinion of 'good hair'? Personally, I agree with what Lisa Price stated in the video, that as long as you style your hair however you like, according to your preference and comfort, then your hair should be good for you. Don't style yourself to suit the opinion of others. As long as you treat your hair with care there is no problem.

Fl@unt has created a personal selection of who else would be perfect to represent the brand for variety of hair styling and textures:

KELIS Natural Grow-Out        GABRIELLE UNION Press and Curl
ALEXANDRA BURKE Relaxed Cut          SHINGAI SHONIWA Afro Fury
